On Tuesday, May 8th, the 65th Annual OBIE Awards were held in Austin, celebrating the achievements of the OOH industry and recognizing the best campaigns. Lamar was well represented, taking home a Gold OBIE for our “Irma Gives Back” campaign and three additional Bronze OBIEs.
Campaign designed by 22squared with vinyl and logistics managed by Lamar’s Guy Miller, Jim Maskas and Ed Bolter. The campaign displayed messages of hope on Florida billboards following the destruction caused by Hurricane Irma.
Lamar Seattle-based artist Randy Fung designed the billboard campaign as a tribute to actor David Cassidy, who passed away in November.
Led by Ian Dallimore and the Lamar Advertising Innovation team in partnership with Intelliscape (VRT) and designed by BLT Communications, the dynamic digital campaign promoted release of Transformers: The Last Knight and featured personalized messages based on the make and model of the oncoming car.
Lamar account executive Ray Dominguez coordinates a series of billboards in California, designed by Jennifer Bolande, featuring images, taken by Lance Gerber, of the surrounding landscape.
